Bargain MP3 player
So far this has been an excellent player, the volume was cured by putting a pair of good sony headphones on it from my CD palyer, the ones supplied are painful anyway!! The controls are fiddly and the instructions vague but I love the fact it is so small.
The main bugbear was the directions for use, although it may be more to do with my macine windows 98 and the fact im not a computer wizard, it took me over 6 hours of messing around and an E mail to Pikaphone (prompt reply but in what appeared to be translated english!)to sort it out.
The music match software supplied does not recognise the player as such but as an external E drive on my machine. Once this was realised it worked well, download from CDs to the music match and then to the player seemed fairly slow but that may be my computer which is getting on a bit! It wouldny convert the audio files already on the computer either.
No the storage space isnt that big but i have a 40 minute journey to work and there is more than enough space for the two journeys. So far once the problems in dowloading were solved this has worked well, a great bargain price player, time will tell if continues to be so.

Pikaone MP3 Player
This being my first mp3 player i was a bit worried it wouldnt work when i connected it to my pc, or that it wouldnt see some of my mp3s. Well my worrys where put at ease the moment i got it.
Windows XP sees the MP3 player straight away and also notices that it can store files as well. It will automatically assign it a drive letter and install the drivers for it, so there is no need to use the cds supplied with it. It also opened media player so that you could start copying music over to it straight away.

The other good thing about this device is that it can be used as a removal hard drive, as it stores up to 128mb of data. So you can transfer those important documents, pictures and games with ease.

The only downside to it, is that realistically your only going to get 30 songs on it, unless you lower the bitrate of your mp3s and thus loose quality.

Apart from that, this is a very good buy as a entry into the MP3 player market.

Well worth it
I was looking for a usb flash card then realised that I would be able to get an mp3 player aswell.

I love playing my music loud, being a teenager and all, and I have found no trouble with the volume. The controls are extremely easy to get use to and dont take up much space. A small springy nub is all you need.

Shows size information for each file on it, not only mp3s. Easy to create directories so that its simple to find files.

Excellent backlight with configuration on how long you want it to stay on for. Hardly uses any battery power listening to music and none while plugged into a computer.

Only thing I could find that is slightly bad about it is that its a little chunky so it wont fit into a usb that is directly next to one that is being used.

Comes with a small black bag with 2 compartments; one for the player/flash card and the other for the head phones which are supplied with it.

Equalizer and password protection are very useful. Plus you can see how much space you are taking up on it and how much it can hold.

While I was looking for flash cards, preferably 128MBs, mp3 players I really wanted one that had a display on it, and this is the cheapest one that I could find. It really is very good value because it contains everything the more expensive ones do. Its very light and very small so it doesnt get in the way, not even when its in the back of your computer.

A very good purchase.
